Before you install SMART Scheduler Server, ensure your system meets the following criteria:A dedicated mailbox is set up on the Microsoft Exchange Server that the SMART Scheduler Server computer has access to. SMART Scheduler Server uses this mailbox to manage SMART Bridgit meetings.A user account with local administrator rights is set up in the Windows domain associated with the mailbox described above. SMART Scheduler Server uses Windows user authentication to run the service as well as to access the Exchange mailbox.Microsoft Outlook isn’t installed on the computer where you installed the SMART Scheduler Server.The SMART Bridgit Server is already installed and running on either a separate computer (recommended) or, if required, on the same computer where you'll install SMART Scheduler Server.IMPORTANT: Do not use a personal mailbox for SMART Scheduler Server software. The SMART Scheduler Server software will automatically and permanently deletes anything in this mailbox, including e-mail messages and calendar appointments.To obtain and start SMART Scheduler Server softwareObtain the SMART Scheduler Server Installer in one of two ways:Download it from it from your SMART Bridgit Server directory by browsing to C:\Program Files\SMART Technologies\SMART Bridgit\SMARTSchedulerInstallers, and then copying SMARTSchedulerServerSetup.exe to the computer you’ll install it on.Double-click the SMARTSchedulerServerSetup.exe installer file and run it.The SMART Scheduler Server – InstallShield Wizard welcome screen appears.IMPORTANT: The installer won’t run on a computer with Microsoft Outlook.Click Next to continue.If you don’t have Microsoft Collaboration Data Object (CDO) installed on your computer, the CDO Installation Required window appears. Otherwise the Software License Agreement appears.To install Microsoft CDOSelect the Download CDO Installer check box, and then click Finish.Run the downloaded Installer.The Choose Directory for Extracted Files dialog box appears.Type a new directory location or click OK to accept the default location.The CDO Installer downloads to the specified directory.Browse to the directory location, and then double-click the ExchangeMapiCdo.msi file to install the software.

Smart hosting allows a mail server to route emails directly to another mail server. By smart hosting, KnowBe4 can bypass your spam filter and create a direct route from our mail server to yours. If your mail environment includes a spam filter that impacts the deliverability of your Phishing Security Tests (PSTs), you can bypass your spam filter through smart hosting.Important:This feature is only available for paid accounts. Security Agents can use one of two scan methods when scanning for security threats.Smart scan: Security Agents that use smart scan are referred to as smart scan agents in this document. Smart scan agents benefit from local scans and in-the-cloud queries provided by File Reputation Services.Conventional scan: Security Agents that do not use smart scan are referred to as conventional scan agents. A conventional scan agent stores all components on the client and scans all files locally.The following table provides a comparison between the two scan methods. Table 1. Manual Scan is an on-demand scan and starts immediately after a user runs the scan on the computer. The time it takes to complete scanning depends on the number of files to scan and the computer's hardware resources. To perform manual malware scans, you must select a scan configuration. To configure malware scan configurations, go to Policies > Common Objects > Other > Malware Scan Configurations. Scheduled Scan Scheduled scans run automatically on the configured date and time. Use scheduled scan to automate routine scans and improve scan management efficiency. To perform scheduled malware scans, you must select a scan configuration. To configure malware scan configurations, go to Policies > Common Objects > Other > Malware Scan Configurations. Malware Scan (Computer Editor only) Displays the times and dates of the last manual and scheduled malware scans and allows you to perform or abort a quick or full malware scan. Smart Protection Smart Scan Smart Scan shifts much of the malware and spyware scanning functionality to a Smart Protection server. Instead of downloading a complete malware pattern file to the local computer, a much smaller version of the pattern is downloaded which can identify files as either "confirmed safe", or "possibly dangerous". "Possibly dangerous" files are compared against the larger complete pattern files stored on Trend Micro Smart Protection Network to determine with certainty whether the files pose a danger or not. This method keeps locally stored pattern files small, and reduces the size and number of updates required by Agents/Appliances. A computer that is configured to use Smart Scan does not download full anti-malware patterns to its local disk. So if your anti-malware license expires while a computer is configured to use Smart Scan, and you disable Smart Scan, the computer will not have any local patterns to use for anti-malware scans. Smart Protection Server for File Reputation Service Smart Protection Service for File Reputation supplies file reputation information required by Smart Scan. Select whether to connect directly to Trend Micro's Smart Protection Network service or whether to connect to one or more locally installed Smart Protection Servers. Select the When off domain, connect to global Smart Protection Service. (Windows only.) option to use the global Smart Protection Service if the computer is off domain. The computer is considered to be off domain if it cannot connect to its domain controller. (This option is for Windows Agents only.) You can view and edit the list of available proxies on the Proxies tab on the Administration > System Settings screen. Smart Protection Server Connection Warning This option determines whether error events are generated and Alerts are raised if a computer loses its connection to the Smart Protection Server. If you have a locally installed Smart Protection server, this option should be set to Yes on at least one computer so that you are notified if there is a problem with the Smart Protection server itself.
